CAMINO VERDE PARIS

Project : 34 full-size classical guitars

Project:  “34 full-size classical guitars”

Publisher: CAMINO VERDE – Paris

CAMINO VERDE is a small publishing house based in Paris which publishes unusual projects on subjects diverse in nature but always linked to the world of art, vintage car collections and similar topics. Photos related to music and vintage cars are exquisitely processed to delight collectors from all around the world.

It is run with great sensitivity and painstaking attention to detail by Clémentine Jouffroy and Alberto Martínez. It’s been a pleasure to work with them on a complex project requiring a great deal of prior work to analyse all the elements and absolute commitment in all the phases of the product, including the auditing of the images, the certified proofs, the models, the monitoring of the printing, the supervision of the relief, the stamping and, finally, the binding, at some stage of the process, done completely by hand.

The work consists of a box-case with gold stamping and lined with imitation Imitlin fabric, 34 fold-out 4-section photographs inside and a jacket with dry relief in the middle. (we invite you to take a look at the images)

This is a work designed with great taste and elegance and images which faithfully reproduce the details and colours of each guitar. Faithfulness to the originals has been a fundamental aspect of this project.

Clémentine and Alberto explain:

A unique book: 34 extraordinary guitars made between 1856 and 2008 by important luthiers such as Antonio de Torres and Daniel Friederich, the backs and fronts of which have been printed in their natural sizes so that they can be examined down to the minutest detail.
Classic guitars photographed by Alberto Martínez on his travels around the world.
Quality has been prioritised in every stage of the process, from its initial conception to the completion of the production.
The 34 folded photographs can be viewed separately and are packed inside a jacket with relief created specially for the occasion by the artist Sergio Iglesias.
The book has been printed with stochastic screening, which gives depth and detail to the reproduction.
